On Twitter this evening, I was asked the following question:
“If I go away on holiday, will publicising this on my Facebook page prejudice my Fibromyalgia claim?”.
It has been known in the past that the opposing legal team can put surveillance on you. If they see for example that you are holding heavy suitcases. this could impact on your case. Similarly, if you put up Facebook updates stating that you are doing extreme sports, this could also prejudice your case. If on the other hand, you are going away on holiday to relax, this should not be a problem. You may be ill and are clearly travelling away to recover. In which case, going away on holiday could help to prove how unwell you are.
If you have any legal questions about Fibromyalgia or CRPS, you can post them to our Twitter page.
